Green Apple Bikes is Manhattan's free bike share program created to increase personal mobility in our community in a healthy, environmentally friendly, and accessible way. Funded by private citizens and cared for by local volunteers, Green Apple Bikes are ideal for short distances. Users have the ability to pick up a bicycle at any “self-serve” station and when finished, park neatly upright anywhere for other riders to enjoy and share. If you see a bike in distress, text 785-380-5968 to let our volunteers know it needs to be picked up for maintenance or moved to a more accessible location.
